1800 Calendar

Americana 1800Adventure Club – GSMM  Matches for 2024

 

CMP-Sanctioned matches are now offered for the following:M1 Garand, 1903/A3 Springfield, Vintage Military, M1 Carbine, Unlimited Garand,and Modern Military rifles (AR-15).

All firing will take place on the same firing line simultaneously.

 

The Garand,Springfield, Vintage Military, and M1 Carbine matches are some of CMP's most popular CMP Games events held during the National Matches in Camp Perry, Ohio every year. These matches allow local competitors to hone their skills on these old warhorse rifles, and have fun doing it. COURSE OF FIRE IS 50 ROUND MATCH WITH SIGHTERS. 30 ROUND MATCH AVAILABLE.

 

John C. Garand Match - All competitors use an as issued M1 Garand. The course of fire is 25 shots slow-fire prone (first 5 shots are sighters); 10 shots rapid-fire prone; 10shots rapid-fire seated; 10 shots slow fire standing. Shot from 100 yards on targets reduced to simulate 200 yds.

 

Springfield Match - All competitors use an as issued 1903 or 1903A3 Springfield rifle. The course of fire is 25 shots slow-fire prone (first 5 shots are sighters); 10 shots rapid-fire prone; 10 shots rapid-fire seated; 10 shots slow fire standing. Shot from 100 yards on targets reduced to simulate 200 yds.

 

Vintage Military Rifle Match -All competitors use any vintage U.S. or vintage foreign as issued rifle. The course of fire is 25 shots slow-fire prone (first 5 shots are sighters); 10shots rapid-fire prone; 10 shots rapid-fire seated; 10 shots slow fire standing.Shot from 100 yards on targets reduced to simulate 200 yds.

 

M1 Carbine Rifle Match -All competitors use an as issued M1 Carbine and fire 40 shots at a distance of100 yards on SR-1 targets. The course of fire is 15 shots slow-fire prone(first 5 shots are sighters); 10 shots rapid-fire prone; 10 shots rapid-fire sitting; 10 shots slow fire standing.

 

Modern Military Rifle Match -All competitors use an AR-15 Carbine type rifle and fire 50 shots at a distance of 100 yards on targets reduced to simulate 200 yds. The course of fire is 25shots slow-fire prone (first 5 shots are sighters); 10 shots rapid-fire prone;10 shots rapid-fire seated; 10 shots slow fire standing. Optics (scopes) up to 4.5x magnification are now allowed.

Start Time: Registration at 8:00am. Match starts at 8:30am.

 

Costs:Match fee is $15.00 which includes recording of scores with CMP.

YOUTH FIREARMS SAFETY CLINIC
This event will be hosted by the Americana 1800 Adventure Club as a Youth Safety Awareness Service, on the 4th Saturday of each month and starts promptly @ 1000 hours ( no December Events will be conducted ). The event will begin with a short overview regarding "NRA Certified Range Safety Protocols, Range Safety Guidelines", along with Youth Participation in a Live Fire/Safety Demonstration. The Safety Instructions overview will be provided by NRA CERTIFIED RANGE SAFETY OFFICERS.

Any small donations from Participants and/or their Families ( $5.00 ) will be greatly appreciated and will be utilized to maintain a safe environment on the " Shooting Range ". 

All equipment will continue to be provided by the American 1800 Club.
